Hauppauge-based GrooveCar is now providing GrooveCar Direct software and services to four additional national credit unions.
The automobile-loan firm, which specializes in linking credit unions with car buyers, has inked new deals with Elgin, Ill.-based Corporate America Family Credit Union; Rochester, Minn.-based First Alliance; Morgantown, W.V.-based Morgantown AES Federal Credit Union; and Geismar, La.-based Wymar Federal Credit Union.
GrooveCar Direct is a credit union-branded online resource that allows the unions to internalize auto-buying services – which they’d otherwise farm out – while delivering high-quality resources to union members.
Lisett Comai-Legrand, vice president of operations for First Alliance, sang GrooveCar’s praises in a written statement, saying the company has helped the credit union become “a one-stop-shop for our members’ vehicle needs.”
First Alliance has more than 12,000 members and assets exceeding $137 million. Corporate America has 65,000 members and $559 million in assets, while the other two credit unions have less than $100 million in assets and roughly 5,000 members each.
